A new favorite…

Sorry it’s been a few days since I’ve posted, but for those who get overwhelmed with the amount I was posting in weeks prior, this has probably been a welcomed break. It’s probably thoroughly enjoyed by my Instagram and Facebook friends who are tired of my food pics! 🙂

Well a lot has happened this week and it’s about to get crazier as I get ready to prep for my brother’s wedding. It’s always a bit chaotic having three people in a wedding, but I’m ready and pumped for the the festivities!

Anyways, on with the show…

The past two Saturdays I got to try out a new workout that I have been dying to do! Cycling!

My friend, Cassie, and I bought Groupons for a 4-class pass to Cyclebar and decided to give it a try. We had a blast!

For those of you who have never been, here is the gist. You go in and get a pair of clip shoes for your bike and head in to a fairly dark room and get your bike all set up. There is an instructor on a bike in the front who is there is lead the workout and keep you motivated, often with really breath-y, self-reflective phrases, but motivating nonetheless.

The music is up-beat and keeps you going from start to finish. Over the course of 50 to 60 minutes (we took the hour class, yeah we are bad ass like that), you may pedal fast at a low gear or slower at a high gear. You also stand, sit or do something awkwardly in between. We did some low-weight lifting too. All that said, you get your butt kicked and end up sweating completely through your shirt. It.Is.Awesome.

Some of you may be worried about looking uncoordinated, but seriously, it doesn’t even matter because it’s dark in there and no one can really see you. All that matters is you go!

If you can you have to go and try it!

Here are some post-workout swelfies (my new word for sweaty selfies) 🙂 from my last two Saturday workouts! Hope you don’t mind, Cass! 🙂 You look beautiful even when you are sweaty!

Check back tomorrow for my clean-eating recipe for Tikka Masala!

Thanks for stopping by!
